Owner Review: Bulgari Octo Finissimo Titanium Limited Edition

Bulgari Octo Finissimo Titanium

Bulgari has been intensely developing their men’s watch section lately, and the octo finissimo lineup is now their major watch production. Each new octo finissimo that has come out has been a record breaker. Thinnest: automatic watch, ceramic mechanical, tourbillon, skeleton watch, grande sonnerie, and more recently this year thinnest chronograph and GMT. My version is the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Titanium Limited Edition of the classic automatic titanium model, one of the most entry level of the lineup.

It features a full titanium case, bracelet and dial. This limited edition has blue indexes and hands, whereas in standard models these will be black.

This watch, as with the entire finissimo range, has to be tried on to be appreciated. It is not “just” a watch, but a completely different and unique horological experience. It is so thin and so light that the first impression on the wrist is very odd. It just feels strange. Then once the initial surprise is over, you start to look at the watch more closely.

Attention to detail is phenomenal. The angular case has a striking design, and the overall grained finish plays wonders with the light in any situation. The dial is pure, with a small seconds intelligently placed at 7 o’clock, giving the watch a less classical and more sporty look. The titanium integrated bracelet is incredibly thin and respects the typical Bulgari serpentine style. Its double deployant buckle is wonderful to manipulate. The blue shade on the hands and prints vary from very deep blue, through slightly purple to a stunning electric blue depending on the light.

On the underside the automatic movement is visually wonderful. A perfect finish all way through. A full platinum micro rotor is used to power the watch.

Price is much cheaper than what you would get for less innovative models from other Swiss luxury brands. Haute Horlogerie made accessible. I love my Bulgari Octo Finissimo Titanium Limited Edition.
