Owner Review: Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle

Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle small seconds

Considered by many to be an entry-level piece into the haute horologie world, the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle proves that when it comes to their brand, entry-level is not a bad word.

So what exactly is it? This particular version of the Patrimony Traditionnelle features a 38mm solid pink gold case, measuring a scant 7.77mm in height with a claimed 30 metres of water resistance. It features a stunning white dial, applied markers, dauphine hands, an applied Maltese Cross in pink gold, printed Vacheron Constantin logo, and a countersunk small seconds register at six o’clock making for a razor-sharp, simple aesthetic that is pure Vacheron Constantin. What is also pure Vacheron Constantin is the Hallmark of Geneva certified movement, the truly stunning manual-wind 4400 AS. Beating at 4 Hz, offering a sixty-five hour power reserve and joyous levels of finishing, it is truly a sight to behold and certainly does not feel very entry-level to the eye, or to the touch via its super-smooth winding.

Featuring perfect proportions, a stunning manual wind in-house movement, a super-thin case, and typical levels of Vacheron Constantin understatement, I firmly believe this watch to be not only one of their best pieces but one of the finest watches on sale at any price point. The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle is pure dress watch perfection.
