Owner review: Visitor Vale Park Officer

Visitor Vale Park Officer

The Visitor Vale Park Officer is a watch that has a no nonsense military feel about it. It gives off the sense that it’s up for any kind of adventure that you are willing to share with it!

Visitor Vale Park Officer

I have not doubt that the the Visitor Vale Park Officer design is polarising. Some will see it as a hotchpotch of ideas that were brought together just to be different. However I hope that like me, there are those that see a well crafted design that really does punch above its weight by providing a uniquely different watch with impressive readability, comfort on the wrist, complimenting hard lines and gracious curves , water resistance and a quirky case-back treasure chest !

Visitor Vale Park Officer

The Visitor Vale Park Officer is one of four creations that have emerged from the unique engineering and design genius of Phil Rodenbeck, the owner of the Visitor indie brand. Phil’s first release, Duneshore, found success after a Kickstarter campaign back in 2016 and has stood the test of time, still attracting collectors to this day. Visitor are all about offbeat timekeeping and the Visitor Vale Park Officer may well be offbeat but it sure is on point from my perspective.

You won’t find anyone else at a meetup sporting this watch (unless its a close mate who saw yours previously and just had to have one !) The watch is produced in small batches and is no doubt for the discerning Indie collector that wants something that resides at the top of a no nonsense indie brand offering.

Visitor Vale Park Officer

The Visitor Vale Park Officer is manufactured in Hong Kong to exacting standards. Its housing a miyota 9015 with a bespoke VISITOR rotor. The hands are unmissable, the sandwich dial attractive, the lume very cool and the case, dripping with the Rodenbeck design language, has curves and hard lines twisting together like snakes in springtime!

I find myself going for this piece when I know there will be a few Explorers or Subs at the weekend BBQ. Its just got that x-factor for me that delivers confidence in any setting, Value is another great word, it just delivers great value and generates affection. The Visitor Vale Park Officer will not be for everyone but I like its style and the confidence it exudes.
