Tissot Luxury Powermatic 80

My unexpected new, yet old Tissot

So this is my first review here of a watch. I have chosen my newest addition for this: The Tissot Luxury Powermatic 80. The watch has a relatively flat 9.8mm thickness and wears quite comfortably with its 41mm diameter . It is of course not a pure dress watch, but I would still rather categorise it in the dressy area. I do wear mine with a casual look as well, but it can seem a bit incongruous here and there due to its bicolor color scheme.

The cream toned dial is called ivory and visually blends well with the PVD coated two toned theme of the watch.

The dial is actually not white, but a kind of off-white called “ivory”

Generally, I had decided for this model because of the case and the quite reasonable prices at the usual larger online stores. The case has wavy edges which is a special design element in my eyes. The optical cherry on top of the cake, so to speak. The strap wears pretty well, but the built-in butterfly clasp catches a bit on my wrist.

Inside ticks the well-known Powermatic 80, which in my case has delivered very good performance so far.

All in all, a good inexpensive watch. With its 50m water resistance and the 80h power reserve, the Tissot Luxury Powermatic 80 is a good everyday wearable watch.
