Owner Review: Rolex Airking by @omar_luxury_

The Airking should be your next Rolex!

The Rolex Airking has been my latest acquisition. After a year of going back and forth with choosing the next steel sport Rolex. The Airking took the spot but why? The new for 2022 airking has quite a few refinements from the previous generation. A glossy dial, crown guards, a 41mm case and a new clasp with micro adjust.
Indeed there are quite a few refinements that make it significantly better than the previous generation.

The Airking offers a lot of quirkiness and simplicity

The watch itself is in my opinion a hidden gem in the current Rolex catalog. It has a playfulness about the dial and a no nonsense tool watch aesthetic at the same time. The dial takes inspiration from the bloodhound dash clock that Rolex designed. The Rolex name and cornet is in green and yellow, the air king logo has a different font and the seconds hand is green.
All of the signature Rolex colors were used tastefully that makes the dial incrdbly lively for a timeonly watch.

It snuggles on your wrist

This watch can easily fit the bill for a “one watch collection”. It’s versatile enough to go with practically anything. The case is thin and sits flat. The Rolex 3230 which is as tough as a movement can get and a 70 hour power reserve to boot. The bracelet is absolutely fantastic the micro- adjust makes life much easier during summer.
Overall this watch is in my opinion well executed, it is indeed a Rolex that is often overlooked yet offers a lot of quirkiness and simplicity that I appreciate.
