There are many iterations of the Omega Speedmaster, but it’s not every day that you come across a blue panda. After all, pandas are black and white. Introducing the Omega Speedmaster CK2998 Blue Panda.

The techy stuff: Its measures 39.7mm across and 14.37mm thick, sapphire crystal, and calibre 1861 movement. Some would argue that it’s a FOIS with a different colour scheme, and I would say that you’re right. Does it detract anything from the beauty of the Omega Speedmaster CK2998 Blue Panda? Certainly not!

Not only does the CK2998 employ a colour scheme (blue) that was and probably still is the flavour of the month, it also has a lollipop seconds hand, a ceramic bezel that lights up which all adds to the character and beauty of the watch. When the lights are out, you can even see a ‘Mickey’ head – Intentional? Probably Not – but a cool little Easter egg nonetheless.

It’s a perfect dress or casual watch given the size. On the OEM beautiful alligator leather band, it beautifully complements the dial and immediately shows its class. So much so, I wore this for my wedding. For a casual look, just swap out the OEM strap for a racing band and enjoy the chronograph life, or maybe a brown leather band to go with your chinos.
