Owner Review: Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph Sedna Gold

Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph Sedna Gold

Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph Sedna Gold, what a beautiful and powerful word combination. Just like the watch itself. It catches the eye. It’s big. It’s robust, yet refined. It’s sporty, yet classy. And it withstands 600 metres of  bone crushing water pressure. Not that I ever go anywhere near that kind of depth, I am not a diver, but it gives you this solid, insured feeling while on your wrist.

Passion, technology, accuracy, reliability, and aesthetics are combined and all come together in one masterpiece: the bi-color 45.5mm Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m Chronograph in sedna Gold. You can sense it has been lovingly engineered with passion, it just oozes out of the watch. The mesmerizing reflections of the ceramic dial are indescribable. You must see it. Then continue to look at it again. And again. Rotating the wrist slowly in different positions changing the light incidence turns into magic right before your very eyes.

The stunning blue dial color varies from an almost greyish colour to a deep deep blue. It’s almost royal. The omega logo and letters are perfectly shaped and stand out but in just the right kind of way. Just above it, the Sedna golden hands steadily progress across the face of the dial, powered by the groundbreaking caliber 9900 that can be observed through the transparent sapphire capped case back. The duotone bracelet is constructed of solid Sedna gold and stainless steel, both brushed to perfection. A solid watch in  appearance. You feel every bit of the hefty 250g on your wrist.

The Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph Sedna Gold is not a Rolex Submariner. It’s me.
