The Fossil Del Rey Bullhead Chronograph is a rare piece and hard to find nowadays. I got it by luck on online app Shopee at a very affordable price.
The watch bears the Seiko VK64 Mecha Quartz and has a 43mm steel case, 22mm width lugs, 13mm thickness and 10 ATM water resistance. This model CH2973 is 2/3 yellowish cream at the top of the dial with a red line separator and dark navy blue below the line. As a Mecha Quartz, the chrono hand sweeps like a mechanical flyback chrono when activated as well as reset. The lume area is not large but it does have a decent lume effect.
With racing style straps, one with a sweaty 17.5 cm wrist like mine could wear it comfortably. I bought it at a discounted price of USD80.14 reduced from the original retail price of USD154.12.
I don’t know why, but every time I look at the dial I imagine a wide desert with a sunset on the horizon with a few cacti on the side. Maybe I’m intoxicated just by looking at this piece. The Fossil Del Rey Bullhead is a nice piece to own. I have never felt inclined to trade it. It’s hard to find and I once saw it on ebay at an overpriced cost of nearly USD$240.
