Welcome to the pilot episode of Fifth Wrist Radio.

On this episode of The Defining Time Show, Anthony from @defining_time  is joined by Alex @thewatchregulator. Alex is the President of fifthwrist.com and a watch technician for the Swatch Group. So he is well placed to be able to discuss the attention grabbing new Ed White 321 reissue chronograph by Omega. We get into the history and legacy of the Speedmaster. Then we begin to break down the costs associated with the new watch and why Alex gives some insight as to why he believes that it might not be worth the money. For a comprehensive guide to the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch consider investing in a copy of the excellent guide Moonwatch Only.

We all talk about the recent heritage release from Longines. This includes how vintage reissues make us feel and why brands are limited in the watches they can produce due to the movements than can use. The history of Longines is a long and interesting one. Where they stand now in the watch world does not reflect their once exalted position within the world of horology. A great insight into the historically important watches of Longines can be found in the amazing book by vintage watch aficionado John Goldberger called Longines Legendary Watches.

Anthony & Alex both discuss how our tastes have changed over the years and get into what watches started this passion for us and the watches we have collected over the years. Plus Alex puts out a call to action for enthusiasts to start working in the watch industry. He gets into why it is so important for watch brands to employ people who are passionate about the product. We go on to share our favourite recent review from the fifth wrist website and we give our instagram recommendations of people to go and follow.
