My friend (and partner in (watch-)crime) Wolfgang calls this „a watch directly from hell“.

Well, he’s kind of right: this watch is „hellishly cool“:
This watch is fully black.
Dial, bezel, case, bracelet, clasp … everything black. 

And as it is a Sinn, it’s black hard coating on a hardened surface („tegiment technology“), which means it will stay black for much longer than your old Porsche Design Chrono…

It also features a magnetic field shielding, special oils which don’t fail even if your diving in the arctic sea and it’s filled with nitrogen to prolong maintenance intervals. A small capsule on the side filled with desiccant (do not eat!) turns blue, if eventually (after years) there is more humidity inside the watch than you would want. 

Does anybody need this?
Certainly not, but at least this watch will stay as new for the next 10 years …:-)

Having said this, ironically the clasp is actually where you will see some wear and tear even on this watch. Talking about the clasp, it now finally has a micro-adjustment!
Sinn calls the design “Einsatzzeitmesser” (“mission timer“) and actually some Sinn watches are really used by military and law enforcement.
Part of this design is the (unusual placed at 3:30) red date, which does not distract and improves the readability of the dial further. 

Does anybody need this?
Certainly not, but as I can’t read the date without reading glasses anymore anyway, I like this feature. 

As a watch enthusiast, one simply must own a Sinn watch imho. Since I live in Frankfurt, this is even more true.
When I tried on this model, I was immediately smitten and didn’t even need to look at the other models in the Sinn portfolio.
As as you expect from Sinn, the build quality is just great, the bezel function, for example, is perfect – at least in my perception.

– it makes you feel like a professional diver 

Cons
– it’s directly from hell
– the micro-adjust-clasp is not equipped with a real diving extension
– while the black hard coating on a hardened surface is effective, it’s not perfect
