Hello watch enthusiasts,
Today, I would like to introduce you to the only sport-chic watch with an integrated bracelet in my collection. It is an Atelier Wen Perception 影 (YING).
Before acquiring it, I had the chance to meet Robin Tallendier (co-founder of the brand) at a watch event organized in Paris by @sakounvanssay.
Beyond the aesthetic aspect of the piece, this brand immediately resonated with me. Indeed, it advocates for the return of Chinese craftsmanship in watchmaking, a part of this country’s history that has been completely forgotten with globalization.
After almost a year of owning this watch, I can say it is comfortable on the wrist and a pleasure to look at. It’s my little gem in my collection. I love its finishing touches and the nuances of the hand-guilloché dial, crafted by Master Cheng Yu Cai, the only master guillocheur in China.
This piece nicely complements my collection, which also includes a Kurono Tokyo Grand Hagane well, a more formal and discreet piece that I will present later on Fifth Wrist.
As for the specifications, the watch case is made of 904L steel with a water resistance of 10 ATM and dimensions of 40 x 9.4 mm. It features the SL1588 calibre (4 Hz) with a custom ultra-thin automatic movement and a 41-hours power reserve. To top it off, the bracelet is equipped with an internally developed micro-adjustment mechanism for on-the-fly adjustments.
I highly recommend trying it out in person. If you have any questions, I would be happy to assist you.
To learn a bit more about me, I am a humble 25-year-old collector interested in independent watchmaking. I share my passion through my Instagram account @thetime.production and on my blog, The Time Production.
See you soon!
