What is the watch that constantly gives you a natural high and happiness?

To me, it’s always been the Jaeger LeCoultre Classic Medium Reverso. Prior to my being active in this crazy watch hobby, most of the watches that I owned have always leaned towards the sport watch genre. This is because of the active lifestyle and sports that I’m into. However, I secretly admire from a distance gentlemen who proudly wear their small dress watches with confidence. I knew that one day I’d have this timepiece in my collection.

Fast forward to 2021 – in the middle of the pandemic and global lockdown… I was stuck at home and enjoying my modest watch collection – changing 2 to 3 times a day just to scratch the itch that this watch collecting hobby gives me. I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be good to finally pull that trigger and get myself the watch that I wanted the most? So I did.

I called my AD and placed an order specifically for the Classic Medium Manual Wind Q2548441 as I want to have the classic thin profile watch. I also opted for the classic Reverso as I eventually would like to engrave something on the back of the watch. I had to wait for more than 4 months as this specific model was not readily available. The day I received the message from the AD that the watch was ready for pick up was memorable as it was also the day that my mom passed away. I coordinated with the AD and was able to get the watch a few weeks after.

Though I have only owned this watch for just over a year there are a ton of memories that I’ve already attached to it. This timepiece continues to give me the most happiness…. And for that reason, it will NEVER leave my collection.
