Owner review: Tissot PRX Quartz

Tissot PRX Quartz

The blue dial Tissot PRX Quartz is one of my favorite watches in my collection. It holds a special place in my heart. Having just returned home from a successful business trip to Anaheim, CA, I was exhausted. The week-long event was an unforgettable experience, and I wanted to cap it off with something to reward myself. I remembered watching a video by Teddy Baldassarre about the blue dial Tissot PRX Quartz, and I couldn’t forget how beautiful it was. I went to my Tissot AD the next day, and there it was. I made the purchase without hesitation and have no regrets to this day.

Pricing: $375

The blue dial Tissot PRX Quartz is listed at an MSRP of $375, which makes it an affordable Swiss watch that brings significant value to its owners.

Dial: blue dial, sapphire crystal, silver luminous hands, 3:00 date window

The blue dial Tissot PRX Quartz features a stunning blue dial that reflects in diverse shades under different lighting. The blue dial is an immediate eye-catcher and was the main factor that drew me to purchase the watch. I think it is one of if not the most beautiful shade of blue I’ve seen. The sapphire crystal is scratch resistant and standard. The silver luminous hands are a nice touch that allows for legibility during the daytime. That being said, I wish the lume was stronger. It isn’t the worst out there but it could use improvement. There is a legible date window placed perfectly at the 3:00 position. It is very clean and aesthetically pleasing.

Case size/shape, bracelet: 40mm case diameter, Tonneau-shaped case, brushed integrated bracelet.

The blue dial Tissot PRX Quartz comes in at a 40mm case diameter which fits my 7 ¼-inch wrists well. Collectors with smaller wrists may find this case size slightly large, so it is a factor to be considered before purchasing. The Tonneau-shaped case is a great design choice that helps the watch stand out. The watch features an integrated bracelet with brushed finishing. Although the design is comfortable, the bracelet is floppy and is a smudge and scratch magnet.

Movement/water resistance: ETA F06.115 Swiss Quartz movement, 100m/330ft water resistance

The blue dial PRX features the ETA F06.115 Swiss Quartz movement. I believe it’s an accurate movement and a great option for this watch. The watch offers a solid 100m/330ft water resistance which by definition allows for light swimming or snorkeling with the watch on, but it is not suitable for diving.

Conclusion:

For anyone interested in the blue dial Tissot PRX Quartz or any of the other Tissot PRX Quartz variants, I strongly recommend purchasing this watch. Its pros strongly outweigh its cons.
