Owner Review: Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Tour Auto Edition

Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Tour Auto Edition

About a month ago, I decided to sell 2 watches from my collection and put the funds towards one really nice piece. I wasn’t sure what that was going to be at the time of sale but I knew I was looking for something hard to get and something that stood out in a good way, I wasn’t thinking of the Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Tour Auto Edition.

I was hoping to get a call from my AD about a few of the Rolex sports pieces I had been on a waitlist for, but we all know how that call ends up, so I began asking some questions. What else do you have? Anything rare or Limited Edition? My AD sent me a few pictures of pieces when all of a sudden, I saw a piece that just jumped right out at me! I had no idea what it was but when I received more images, I knew it was a special edition Zenith El Primero.

I called my AD straight away to get more details! A Limited Edition Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Tour Auto Edition, a special edition celebrating the French Car Rally “Tour Auto” and a limited run of only 500 pieces. A beautiful chronograph with an open face at 9pm, which is incredibly mesmerizing. The Nato strap matches the racing dial perfectly and helps to create a STUNNING piece.

The watch looks busy, yet balanced! Not so busy that its beauty and functionality is lost, but enough to really hold your attention when you take the time to take it all in.

This piece came with an outrageously heavy box, full of motorsport touches that make me love the box almost as much as the watch! I couldn’t think of adding a better piece to the collection, perfect for my sporty nature and love of cars.

It might have taken me a long time to add my 1st Zenith into the collection, but I can assure you, it won’t be long before a 2nd Zenith joins the family. The Zenith El Primero is a stunning piece, so much so I find myself just sitting and staring at the dial multiple times a day, with well, love in my eyes!

I am so glad I opened my eyes to something a little different from what I would normally look for with my watches and cannot help but feel a sense of gratitude for what I fell upon.
