The Audemars Piguet Millenary 4101 is considered by many watch aficionados to be the less-hot sister of the famous AP Royal Oak. Who cares what those hype beasts think though? This particular version of the Millenary comes in a stunning 47mm steel oval case, measures 13mm in thickness, with a massive 20 meter water resistance, and a superb quality black alligator leather strap featuring the famous Audemars Piguet buckle. The semi-skeleton face features an hour and minute markers using latin numerals and a seconds sub-dial. The watch houses the calibre 4101, which has a power reserve of 60 hours, with 34 jewels, powered by a 22-carat gold mono-block rotor.
One of the big pros of the Audemars Piguet Millenary 4101 is that since it is not a very common model, especially when compared to the much hyped 15202 and all its identical variants, it will turn heads and always feels really special to wear. Just take a look at those gorgeous numerals!
Nothing is ever perfect though and with the oval case being a rather large 47mm and 13mm thick, it does not sit on every wrist easily and comfortably, and it definitely loses the classic dressy vibe. Still, if you want something different and unique, and if you’re someone that can pull off a 47mm case, check out the Audemars Piguet Millenary 4101.
